Bringing it Home ComicCon 07

Just when we though there would be no more "Bringing it Home" stuff this year comes word on xbox.com of Bringing it home ComicCon 07, yes i said ComicCon. So your probably asking your self what dose ComicCon have to do with Xbox? well here's what Xbox.com has to say about it

Comic-Con International 2007 is the largest comic book and pop culture convention in the world, with over 120,000 attendees. Celebrating the best in comics, science fiction, fantasy, horror and pop culture, the convention features sneak previews from every major movie studio and network of their best TV shows, DVDs and movies.
Xbox LIVE has partnered with Warner Bros. to bring home Comic-Con to you on Xbox LIVE. Go to Xbox LIVE Marketplace and watch the panels, see the footage and download themes and trailer. All for a limited time.

So there you have it, Bringing it home ComicCon edition will run July 26-29, i wonder if there going to have any downloadable comic books?

This weeks contest

Win this game this week. We're back with another giveaway. This time we're calling out all graphic artist and podcasters. All are welcome to join in, but this will be a contest, not a giveaway. What we are looking for is everyone to submit they're best work. Be creative in "showing the love" for the Xbl10kclub. All graphic artists should submit either wallpapers (1600x1200 or larger/jpg.) or Zune backgrounds (240x320/jpg. only) that represent the 10k in some way. Take photgraphs, make a mascot, make your own logo, etc., and just make sure to add the 10k in there somewhere to be eligible. All podcasters and anyone else with recording equipment should submit short audio clips (1-3 min./6 MB max.) that relate to the 10k in some way. Write intros for our show, outros for our show, theme songs for the 10k, 10k jingles, sound bytes for the show, etc. Please keep it clean. Send all entries titled "I want Transformers" to contests@xbl10kclub.com, and make sure to add your Gamertag with your entry. We will pick our favorite, and we will announce it on 8/03/2007. Please keep in mind we are offering second place prizes, and we would love to showcase all the great work we're sent. Do your best, and your work might be featured on a future Zunecast. You could also have you wallpaper or zune background made downloadable for all to use on their PC and Zune. Here's some helpful hints from 360 Style.

-Use high resolution images when making your wallpapers. You can find these at teamxbox.com and various other big xbox sites.
-Don't stretch your images. By stretching images your wallpaper loses alot of its original quality.
-If you are good at hand art , feel free to create your wallpaper by hand. Earlier this year Luigi L. won Crackdown because of his custom drawn wallpaper.
-Don't steal wallpapers from other places and call them your own. We see and know all.
-When cutting out characters or shapes from images to use in your wallpaper make sure they are not left with jaggy edges.
-If you would like some design tips before submitting your final design feel free to post your work in our 360 Style Graphics Forum. Other community members will give you plenty of constructive criticism and tips to help you perfect your art.
